Our Annual Memorial Day service will be held in front of the Tower at 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 31st . This annual event is presented jointly by the Highland Park Post #374 of the American Legion and Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

All veterans buried at Highland Memory Gardens since Memorial Day 2019 will have their names read as part of the ceremonies.

Bring your lawn chairs and come early to hear our bagpiper who will pipe beginning at 8:45 a.m. Refreshments will be served following the program.

Our “Avenue of Flags” – a dramatic display of 400 5-ft x 9 ½-ft ceremonial veteran burial flags lining the cemetery streets, will be flown from Saturday morning until Monday evening. In addition, individual flags will be placed at the gravesite of over 3500 veterans who are buried at Highland Memory Gardens. It is indeed an impressive sight . . . well worth the drive to HMG!

See you at the Tower!

In case of inclement weather for our Monday program, an email will be sent out to everyone on our email list. We will also notify WHO Radio, KCCI TV and WHO TV.
