Recently I decided to take care of our final expenses. This included burial, vaults, and plot-markers at Highland Memory Gardens. I soon realized we had put this off far too long. The process went so quickly and smoothly with the caring and expert guidance of Highland’s wonderful staff, especially Ms. Jan Shawver. She listened to our wishes and budget. She explained the options. I love what we did and that we have gifted and freed our children from having to make and agree on these decisions later. We have advised them to also take these steps now – so that their choices and beliefs might be secured – and their family helped in a very loving way.

"For the record, I have the highest regard for Highland Memory Gardens for your excellent service to our families, and everyone who wisely chooses to do business with you. God bless."

"There are two things we appreciated about working with Sue Starr.

First, is that she let the whole process move at our speed. There was no pressure about anything. And she always told us to ask anytime we had a question. She was always available and took all the time we wanted to discuss each part of the process.

Second, is that she really knows her stuff. She had an answer for every question. She gave us even more information sometimes than seemed necessary, but now we see that she was making sure we understood the details.

We are totally satisfied with the people and the product at Highland."

"Over the years, 92 to be exact, I have seen and been in many cemeteries but there have been none as beautiful as Highland Memory Gardens. Many years ago my wife and I attended the funeral and burial of a good friend and neighbor. He was buried in Highland and we decided then that we would be buried there when our times came. I have had many occasions to pass by Highland Memory Gardens and each time I thought it was very beautiful and peaceful — even the music being played from the tower was quiet and restful."

"My wife passed away in 2008 and my son and I made the arrangements for her last resting place. There was no question or decision necessary as to where that was to be. Highland Memory Gardens was the place. He and I sat with Ms. Starr and made all the arrangements. She was wonderfully cooperative and helpful, even to the extent of designing a special marker plaque specifically for my wife and me. She is now resting there in that quiet, wonderful place and waiting for me to join her. I frequently go there, both to talk with her and to marvel at the beauty and peace and quiet. The grounds are wonderfully kept, hardly a blade of grass out of place. It is remarkable how much the groundskeepers care for the grass and plantings. Everything is always kept just right. I wanted a beautiful, quiet place for her to rest and Highland Memory Gardens gave me exactly that. To me the lack of huge monuments was a great plus. The wonderful expanse, adorned only by bouquets and trees, is beyond comforting and pleasing. Why anyone would choose any place else is beyond me. I thank the management and the groundskeepers for their care and diligence."
